Sept 12
all my morning classes (CIBSA-government-chapel/break-english-senior pictures-math apps for a while-lunch) today were alright. after lunch: some of the students were out of control during theatre (all i had to do as an 'aide' was tell some kids outside that it was time to go inside haha. kinda told some of the kids to calm down...but then the teacher came back in lol. got some english homework done so i didn't have to bring home any big books-yay! lol), spanish was fine today for the most part (the verse/saying we have to memorize is short/doesn't look TOO hard, and we mainly just did these worksheets where we had to match a picture with a word or sentence and i got like all of them right), english lab wasn't too good--i missed a lot of the verbal questions, which is what i did really good on when i took the actual test. not good.
so musical tryouts are coming up thursday. we have to prepare 16 bars (aka measures?) from a musical to sing for it. and the only songs i'm really all that good at (i'm not really a singer lol) are from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat...but i don't know how many bars those are! i know they are 14-16 lines lol. hopefully i can find out before thursday. unless i'll do it anyway, sing some song i don't think i'm as good at, or sing Happy Birthday (haha theatre friends). i'm not too worried about tryouts tho--i'm friends with the director and the school is small so not many people usually try out, so i think i'll get something lol. and i think she understands that i don't like to have too huge a part, just a couple lines in at least one scene, as long as i'm involved. i'm like really quiet so it's cool that she gives me roles where i don't have to say much but i still have something to work for (to be loud enough and all). i dont like memorizing and then making sure i am speaking up lol. i'm not too good at singing...the musicals i have been in i was like in the chorus so it was easy that way lol. but i'm gonna try out anyway and hopefully i'll get a small part...i just want to be involved in some way lol. oh, i looked through some musicbooks, and i could also do: a whole new world; tomorrow; do-re-mi; my favorite things. or stick with one of those two Joesph ones. any ideas/suggestions/comments?
